The main reason for this is so that I can have all your documents linked together in one place with emails and identity documents, which are then grouped into files or matters. The aim is to make things more streamlined and easier to record. For you, this will make things quicker for me to retrieve if we need to look back on anything that we have completed together.
What it means for you
Your data is securely stored. I use 2FA or two factor authentication and the system is backed by the Law Society, so we should be in good hands! Things will look slightly differently when you receive communications, particularly how your invoice is formatted, however all the key information is there, and all my contact methods remain the same. I can see all of your previous files in one place. If we need to access a prior document, I can access it much more quickly. The same is true for when I receive verification of completed work requests from HM Land Registry and the Irish passport office.
What it means for me
All your information is together, I don’t need to check your folder, outlook and Xero to see what has happened as everything is in one place. Your identity document will be stored as a jpg or pdf as normal but now in their own folder within the LEAP matter folder.
During the meeting
Everything will flow as it always has, it is behind the scenes that will be slightly different. Identity verification will still take place as normal in the meeting, but we can use an external third-party verification partner, in addition, if we need to (chargeable at cost). How your document is notarised and presented will also remain the same, and in the same format as normal, whether this be paper or digital. I may move to Teams meetings, and the system can send appointments for your calendar if you so wish.
As ever, if you have any questions, or want to discuss a particular document, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me.
